Steve Viola, CPCU - I am a graduate of NC State University and started in the insurance industry in 1986, and held many roles during my corporate career - claims adjuster, claims manager, marketing representative, regional sales manager, and director of business development. In 2013, I started Viola Insurance Services, Inc. I hold the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
Experience
I have been in the insurance industry for over 25 years, starting in Claims and I learned the industry from the ground up including how to read and interpret an insurance policy. I learned how many coverage options are available and how often times the policyholder did not know what coverages they had or more importantly, what coverages they did not have. I learned how to investigate a loss. I learned how to settle a loss - all types of losses – from the minor fender bender to the complete destruction of a home caused by a fire or a tornado; including the one that blew through Winston-Salem in 1989.
Choice
Independent agencies offer choice. We, you and I, get to choose. We don’t have just one company to choose from; we’ve got lots of options. Big ones, little ones, Mutual Companies, Stock Companies. And the beauty of choice is it means better coverage options and pricing alternatives for you.
If entrusted to review your current insurance program, I’m going to provide you with valuable information in which to make good decisions. And this is all going to be done on a “consultative” basis. That means no pressure, no hassle, just an open exchange of information. I believe price is an important factor, but it isn’t the most important or only factor. No one wants to pay for something that isn’t a good value.
Advocate
I will always be there for you. I will be your advisor and advocate when the bad things happen. The reason you buy an insurance product is the “peace of mind” when some unforeseen event occurs. I can’t make the event disappear, but I can consult to help guide you when it does. Having a local, experienced advocate in your corner is way better than a telephone sales rep you have never met.
